Facets of my life... 22 June

I am glad that God has provided so richly a life for me. Through God's grace and providence, I am leading a very contented life, one that is filled with blessings and love.

A bundle of Joy! Randall; my dearest nephew is such a precocious little kid...a fast learner. We need to be mindful of what is said to him, as he picks things up quickly. Hence, we need to teach him well, so that he will grow up to be a fine young man... (just like his uncle)...

Prestat chocolates...for my bestest gal pals...Jo and Lorraine....we grew up together! Childhood friends that have blossomed into fine young ladies, one is a banker the other a teacher. I thank God for them. By the way, Prestat is one of the oldest and most established chocolate makers in the world, it is even appointed by HM Queen Elizabeth 2 to provide chocolates for the royal family. Evidence of which is the royal seal on top of 'Prestat' on the 2 bags above. I am such an Anglophile; loving all things brit!

As I would be away for the entire month of July, the first time spending my birthday abroad,
Jo, Lorraine and I celebrated a very early birthday sans birthday cake at the Axis bar and lounge at the Oriental Hotel! Ha...conincidentally, our birthdays all fall within the month of July.A free flow of Tapas were the order of the day... i had frozen magarita (foreground) and tapas was a good selection of calamari, fried dumplings, sugar plums, toasted cauliflower, breaded shrimp...yummy! My verdict:: Excellent ambience...soft jazz in the background, resplendent view of the City, and great company all made for a good chill out experience, which did not cost us an arm or a leg.

What a sight to behold, and this is only the 4th floor of the Oriental Hotel from Axis bar! Since, i did not get the tickets to NDP, I am toying with the idea of booking a room at the hotel to watch the parade from there. Anyone care to sponsor my dream? That dream is inclusive of magnificent fireworks! (P/S:: Will be back in time to celebrate our nation's b'day.)

Then it was off to a movie with the gals...Surf's Up....heartwarming! my cuppa...

Home sweet home.... Goodnite, tabby!
