This image was taken on hari raya puasa 2004...its dated...but isn't it beautiful?
The details are pristine and crisp.

This image was captured when my dad was driving the family to katong for its famed 'katong laksa' during the hari raya puasa public holiday. My dad was driving almost at a legal top speed of about 90-95 km/hr along the Benjamin Sheares bridge. In the foreground is a section of the bridge with a lamp post juxtaposed on the middle right hand side of the image which i thought brought out some visual ingenuity.

In the background is the Singapore river which brings a temporal, yet characteristic edge to the image and of course the swissotel at the stamford with it "sore-thumb" like strutural juxtaposition of sorts creating a certain blissful aura which culminates in the pompous hint of fluffly white clouds hanging overhead.

This image is a corollary of sorts, paradoxical yet enchantingly mysterious. An irony!

This image is one of my favourites which i believe should be shared with one and all. Amatuers, newbies and whatnot...
