Walking around London...surreal...

London: 07, July 2007 ::

Its been 2 years since the London bombings...but today, the sun was out in force so was the multitude of people on the streets who turned out in support of the Tour de France (the Olympics of the cycling world, according to the commentator). It was amazing!
Piccadily Circus... where new meets the old...a juxtaposition of epic proportion.
Eros....God of Love fronts Buckingham Palace...
Pinic in the park...Londoners sure know how to watch the world go by...and I like that!
Ducky is hungry...
The squirrels of London are very friendly, and they actually come up to you for food, unlike the ones back home that sneak up on you and scuttle away at the very sight of you!
A Tour de France enthusiaste...or is it not? People from all walks of life descend on central London to catch the race.
Bicycles galore... I am rooting for the REDs...
Big Ben... there are marquees, and barricades all over because of Tour de France
Amazing...to have it materialised before my very eyes...
Tour de France caused the streets to be littered with so many people...what a show of camaraderie!

The seat of power...a pity Tony Blair is no more...I like the man.The London Eye...so majestic!
The Empire with their Storm troopers have landed on the British Aquarium.
Its breathtaking from up here!
Fun in the heart of London...
Under the watchful EYE...
So characteristic of London...old and new come together in harmony... Not just Singapore or Hong Kong....Central London is really dense, too... just look at the multitude of people that thronged the thoroughfare
Lunch on the go...Pasta in Honey Mustard sauce from Tesco Express...I have a healthy appetite! Yes, Tour de France has invaded the heart of London
They are a nice bunch, very obliging...I feel so safe in their presence!
Horatio Nelson was a great man!
On our way home to Rosebery Avenue....its a long way up from underground (the Tube)

Good night, good bye.... till another weekend of walking the streets of London.
