That's the Swissotel the Stamford (affectionately known to me as 'Thumb') in the centre of this picture. It stands tall among low-rised developments, at 72 storeys high it was once the world's tallest hotel. Unfortunately, in recent times that coverted title has been given to the Al Bhurj; a hotel on a man-made island off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); Middle East.
