Capital Tower with an efferverscent glow!

After dinner at the Beach road market food centre last night, my friend and i took a leisurely drive around the city centre; Shenton way, Tanjong Pagar, China Town etc.

On one of our stops...Capital Tower; featured above standing at 254m tall, is Singapore's 4th tallest skyscraper. I took this picture from Ann Siang Hill where i got a relatively good vantage point. Here, i managed to capture the efferverscence of the building which looks truly resplendent. The efferverscent effect was complemented by the glow of office lights. The composition of the picture however wasn't so inspiring, as the building in the right foreground took away some of the attention from the tower that was supposed to be the sole subject of this picture. But still, the grandeur and character of Capital Tower standing tall and stoically rooted, managed to capture my imagination.

Cheers to your birth,
You strong and faithful son of the soil
A holder of truth and might,
Shielding us mere mortals
From the punishing elements
Of Gaia.

Tall and stoic you stand
So firmly rooted you are
Even the west winds
Are no match for you
No soul on a flight
